All to Jesus I surrender; all to Him I freely give; I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live.
All to Jesus I surrender; humbly at His feet I bow, worldly pleasures all forsaken; take me, Jesus, take me now.
All to Jesus I surrender; make me, Saviour, wholly thine; fill me with Thy love and power; truly know that Thou art mine.
All to Jesus I surrender; Lord, I give myself to Thee; fill me with Thy love and power; let Thy blessing fall on me.
All to Jesus I surrender; now I feel the sacred flame. O the joy of full salvation! Glory, glory, to His name!
I surrender all, I surrender all, all to Thee, my blessed Saviour, I surrender all.
There is a joy in letting go, in giving up. When you realise how the victory against your own wretched sinfulness has already been won and forged in the precious blood of the Lamb, and that everything else you do by your own strength is completely useless and superfluous, you relinquish control of your own life. And give it back to the One who gave His own for yours, and all of humanity. It is a jublilant resignation, a glorious capitulation.
